“The combination of natural stone and timber was central to the overall feel of our home. The warmth of the timber softens the stone, while the stone adds a refined contrast.
“There’s a beautiful balance between warmth and sophistication that wouldn’t have been possible without using Signorino and Woodcut surfaces.”

Blog Story

What was the overall vision or design concept for your project?

Our vision was to create a home that felt calm and timeless. A modern home with subtle hints of coastal influences to ensure it felt warm and lived in. We placed a big emphasis on natural materials, textures and soft tones. The goal was to design a home that felt beautiful but also deeply functional for our family. How did you incorporate Signorino and Woodcut products into your design vision?

The combination of natural stone and timber was central to the overall feel of our home. The warmth of the timber softens the stone, while the stone adds a refined contrast.

Why did you choose Woodcut’s Voss timber for your space?

Having used Woodcut in our first home, using them again felt like a natural and obvious choice. We had quite a specific brief of what finish we wanted so woved the variety of timber finishes available. We don’t live super close to the showroom so we requested some samples to be sent in the mail, they arrived and thankfully it was very easy to lock in as we found the perfect match straigth away.

What drew you to Signorino’s Taj Mahal and Ceppo Sicilia for your project?

How did the use of them enhance the key areas of your home (e.g., kitchen, bathroom, or entry)?

It’s no secret that Signorino offers some of the most premium and beautiful stone options available, and from our very first visit to their warehouse, we knew we had to incorporate their products into our home. Seeing the slabs in person and experiencing the scale, movement and texture of the stone made the decision easy and it immediately felt like the hero material for our project. The Signorino stone we selected and used throughout our home has truly become the main feature and focal point. It brings a sense of depth, softness and luxury that ties all of the spaces together, and it’s something we receive endless compliments on.

What has been the most satisfying part of using these products in your project?

Seeing how the materials come to life in natural light. The quality is something we notice every day. Whether this is in the texture and finish of the stone or the way the timber looks but also feels underfoot. It’s that combination of beauty and durability that really stands out.

Would you recommend Signorino and Woodcut products to others?

Absolutely. Both Signorino and Woodcut offer exceptional quality and if you’re looking to create a home that feels elevated, warm and inviting they are the perfect choice. Our flooring and stone and the hero moments or our home and we couldn’t be happier with our choices.

Do you have any specific moments or features in the project that stand out to you?

Our kitchen and bar area, where we used Taj Mahal and Ceppo Sicilia, is a true standout. The way the stone elevates the space, and the combination of the two different tones side by side, paired with the warmth of the timber flooring, creates a calm, inviting and luxurious atmosphere that still feels considered and liveable. It’s the heart of our home and where we entertain and spend so much time with family and friends. It turned out even more beautiful than we ever imagined.
