Wide boards. Deep grain. A brown so warm it reads almost amber in direct light. Woodcut’s Chocolate from the French Collection was made for a home like the Hay Residence by Hunt and Co. Through arched hallways lined with art and brass wall sconces, and into a kitchen and dining room full of rattan, raw timber and white-painted cabinetry, Chocolate runs as a constant, rich and grounded, pulling the old and the new together without making a point of it.
