Woodcut’s Pearl White Flooring in Our Pilates Studio, Sorrento

Based in Sorrento, Victoria, the Our Pilates Studio is a health and wellness centre dedicated to reformer pilates and physiotherapy. Passionate about mental and physical well-being, founders Hannah and Brooke wanted to create a calming space to help guests reconnect with the mind and body.

The studio itself is filled with natural light, warmed by soft sandy neutrals, cream-coloured drapes, and a minimalistic aesthetic curated by interior designer, Victoria Merrett. Aside from a welcome area and physiotherapy space, the main studio features mirrored walls and rows of reformer pilates machines.

The Brief:

As a fitness studio with lots of heavy reformer pilates equipment, Our Pilates required resilient flooring that could easily withstand high foot traffic while integrating seamlessly into the desired atmosphere. As a soft, contemporary space dedicated to building a health and well-being community, it was important for the flooring to complement the aesthetic and physical needs of the studio without being distracting or overbearing.

The Pearl White flooring flawlessly completes the space. The result is a beautiful and inviting environment that reflects the studio’s purpose as somewhere for clients to look after themselves, inside and out. With co-founders of the Our Pilates studio both using Woodcut’s flooring in their own homes, it was a pleasure to see them return for the refurbishment of their beloved pilates studio.
