Woodcut’s Amber from the Essence Collection is a timber with a golden, sun-touched quality that most floors only approach at a particular time of day. At the Socialight Showroom, it laid across the main floor and carried up through the stair treads, its warm European Oak grain catching the afternoon light through the full-width windows and throwing long shadows across the concrete below. Around it, the showroom pushes its palette hard, deep burgundy battened walls, raw concrete structure, galvanised steel and an eclectic collection of pendant forms in timber, ceramic and woven fibre. Amber does not compete with any of it. It simply gives the room a floor warm enough to make every light above it look better.
